Steady Hand and Good Balance...

My good friends Mags and Mel worked hand in hand on a wonderful project of mine last year. We came together to create images that we're entirely based around the understanding of color. These are some images that I really enjoyed from this portion of the project but were not submitted at the end of the day. However I believe that these two images best represent the natural talents and skills of the wonderful young women that I worked with.

Its wonderful how ideas come about for people...

One night I was looking at these two pieces of cream and black lace that I had lying in a fabric bin, when I turned and said to my friend Mags, "hey wouldn't it be fun if we took these two pieces of fabrics and blended them together to make a dress?" she replied with, "what are we waiting for lets do it!" after about 2 hours of draping, and pinning we had a design up on the form.

This is what we have so far its defiantly still in a rough state, but once we get everything in place and all sewn up we have a custom garment ready for shoot. Like I was saying its wonderful how our ideas come to us.

So Far, So Good...

This summer has been like no other to date. The daily stresses stay the same with home life and a new job, however this summer has been especially different on a personal level. I finally grew some balls and made a decision that I know I will never look back on in twenty years, and say why the hell I ever thought I could do this. The tone is different and a mood has been set into motion in my life once again. The doubt and fear of failing is there, and it’s stronger than ever, however like I said the tone is different now, and the mood has been set. This will be the first time in my entire life that I will fully invest in a passion that has been burning deep inside for quite sometime.

Last year I started this blog all in fun, but this year Visual Proposals is back with a new approach, there’s no doubt that it will still be fun, but its time to create, and become something significant.

CCAD Senior Fashion Show...

So last weekend I was backstage at the 2010 F/W fashion show and it was a blast. This was the first major fashion production I have been apart of and I'm glad to say that I Loved every minuet of every moment. I was assigned the task of one of few dressers for the show. Our jobs were to get the models in and out of their designers garments, however I was able to spare a little time in between the chaos backstage and I was able to snap some quick shots with my Sony Cyber-shot Camera...
